CBeebies
is a channel produced by the BBC and aimed at
children 7 years and under. Launched on the 11/2/02 it
broadcasts from 6.05 a.m. to 7.05 pm on the BBC, free view and
sky. CBBC is a sister channel for older children.
CBeebies offers a mix of
education and fun for your kids. Content is developed
and produced using pre-school specialists and the website and
Interactive television (free view and sky) offers educative and entertaining content
beyond the TV programmes. One programme which is now aired
on CBeebies is Lazy Town. This sporty, keep fit based
favourite even encourages your child to eat fruit, calling all
'good food' sports candy.

What's the Day?:
Originally each weekday was divided into five segments, each
presented by one of the original five presenters namely
Chris, Nicole, Pui, Sid and Sue. The start of each segment was
accompanied by the What's the Day? song. Each segment was
themed (for instance Sid's segment included "building and
making" programmes such as "Bob the Builder", Nicole's included
animal programmes and so on).
