The Ben
Nevis Mountain Path is
around 16KM and rises
1,305m. Ben Nevis isn’t
only famous for its
height, it’s also known
for breathtaking scenery
and natural history. The
Ben Nevis Range is
recognized and protected
in many ways. The Ben
Nevis and Glen Coe
National Scenic Area was
set up to recognize and
protect the importance
of the area. It is also
listed as a Site of
Special Scientific
Interest and a Special
Area of Conservation.
Ben Nevis is a site of
national geological
importance. If you
like to ski or snow
board then this is one
place in the UK where
you can have some fun
without having to
jet off. Check the
live cam for snow
conditions and book your
stay in the fantastic
town of Fort William
where you’ll find loads
of B&Bs, pubs and great
eating houses with log
fires, malt whiskeys and
friendly locals. I must
admit when we skied the
Nevis range it was the
coldest I've ever been,
going up on the ski lift
it felt like I was sat
in a bath of ice. Great
memories, from great
folk.
