Walking or
trekking around
the Keswick
hills and
mountains is a
must for most
visitors, Cat
Bells one of the
most popular
walks is a steep
climb but you
don’t have to be
super fit to
reach the
breathtaking
summit. If you
do decide to
walk from
Keswick town
centre, through
Portinscale then
look out for
Lingholm stately
home which was
the residence of
Beatrix Potter.
The house and
grounds are now
shut to the
public but the
footpath does
skim the edge of
the estate.
Take a boat ride
on Derwent
water, sit back
and enjoy the
breathtaking
views, you can
jump off at any
of the landing
stages and have
a wander. This
is a place to
take it easy,
relax, you’re
worth it!
